Drake loses $830,000 bet

Drizzy is known for a lavish lifestyle. On the Rapolymp you only treat yourself to the finest of the fine. If you only live extremes for years, the disadvantage is that there is not much left that can wow a megastar like the Certified Lover Boy. However, sports betting still seems to give Canadians an adrenaline rush. This hobby now cost him dearly... The "Drake Curse" lives on like never before! With the owl logo from Drake's OVO Sound label on their chest, FC Barcelona played one of the most important games of the season yesterday - and lost. The 3-1 Clásico defeat at arch-rivals Real Madrid cost Drizzy over $830,000.

Drake's bet slip burst: Barcelona lose to Real Madrid in the Clásico

Drake has become the first act on Spotify, Barca's new main sponsor since the current season, to reach more than 50 billion streams. Reason for the streaming provider to make a move on one of the largest sports platforms in the world: Drake's logo in the Clásico on the shirt. The sports fanatic would have rounded out the story with a winning combo bet on Arsenal and Barcelona. But King Karim and Fede Valverde objected, pouring the German keeper Marc-André ter Stegen twice before half-time.

Drake would have won $3.9 million with a bet slip

With a stake of $833,333 (combo odds 4.68), Drizzy could have won around $3.9 million. The Gunners from London did their job against Leeds almost parallel to the Clásico and were able to extend their lead in the Premier League.

For Barca, a win would have been extremely important mentally. In the Champions League, there are signs of farewell in the group phase, the large investments from the transfer summer must deliver if you want to get some peace in the club. To beat Real in your own living room, to consolidate the lead in the table and at the same time to start a campaign (successfully) with the new main sponsor – that would have been too good to be true. It was simply bet on the wrong owl.
